Yea, he appeared to be a raging alcoholic. Said so himself, that he had achieved fatal levels before and was admitted to VA substance abuse programs more than once.

Not surprising he’s dead but sad, nonetheless.

I do remember him getting PUI one night and admitting shame for being gay, too. I knew he was a heavy drinker, but didn't know it was that bad.

He was assaulted while he was in the Navy. I don’t think he ever came to terms with that and drinking was a way to escape?

I used to moderate a veteran PTSD website awhile back and we had a lot of assault victims on there too. More than combat vets dealing with mental health issues.

I think Wally fit that mold pretty well.

I just read all 20+ pages of this BS on CFOT last night.....It would have died a while ago but ol Dougie and FaTTso had to do their usual ego and ass kissing routine....

I think we've moved on from that (6+ years ago) but I stand by that post at that time.
