Christmas Dinner
So what's cooking for Christmas dinner this year folks?
Looking forward to hearing your plans and maybe even some pics. Nothing special around here, ham, sweet taters, sides and some kind of pie that I haven't picked up yet. Bet NAV has quite the meal planned. |

Ribeyes on the grill, baked taters, and brocolli covered in cheese.

Brisket and ribs on the Traeger. Baked potatoes, salad, and whatever else sounds good.
Haven't been doing too many sweets. Daughter is training for her first half marathon with me as her coach. My wife and I are also training for a rim 2 rim 2 rim of the Grand Canyon this upcoming year and we're all watching what we are eating. As much as I love desserts, we'll likely skip out and avoid them... But who knows. LOL |

I'm going to make our traditional standing rib roast, most likely for the last time.
Simple salad geens with cherry tomatoes, baked potatoes, and fresh baked dinner rolls. Going to bake a Marie Calender Razzleberry pie before starting the roast, and serve it with vanilla custard after dinner. I probably posted past pix in the what's cooking section. Will be a somber celebration due to the SO's health. Bummer. Almost like planning a last meal before the execution. Cancer sucks. |

The usual, French onion soup, standing rib roast, Yorkshire pudding and homemade apple pie for desert.
Have a nice local cabernet finished in bourbon barrels to go with it... |

Had a cold that started 3 days ago, I feel fine now, but still have a little residual congestion, so I'm skipping the two invites I had tomorrow for Christmas. It'll just be me, the cat, and the 3 dogs I'm watching, so hey, I won't be alone, and I'm sure we'll all keep enjoying the honey glazed ham I cooked a couple of days ago.
