Banging out logos is not profitable and not what we do. It’s not that we are particularly expensive, it’s that they are time consuming to do right and there is an unlimited number of people who charge such low rates they won't stay in business. They think they are making money at $20 an hour but they don’t understand their true costs. They also use templates and clip art so they aren’t actually designing anything. If there is low risk, a cheap logo is fine. As long as it looks professional. (It probably doesn’t.) But imagine a $20m company that needs to change their logo. They will be spending well into six figures to change their logo on signs, vehicles, website, business cards, sales materials, trade show booths, product labels, on and on. There is significant cost to change the logo for these companies. For them, low end resources are too much risk. They also need more than a logo - they need identity standards so they can deploy it consistently. We develop a system for companies to implement a corporate wide identity. Often designing vehicle wraps, way finding systems, signage and more. For these companies it makes sense to invest $10-$15k+ to ensure it goes well and nobody gets fired. If we run into a prospect that considers Fiverr and option, we politely excuse ourselves from consideration because that prospect is not ready for us. Our minimum size client is spending $500k annually on marketing. Ideally $1-$2m. We find so much waste, it covers our fees. Then because we know what we are doing with regard to research and strategy, the earn on average between 10x and 20x in ROI for every dollar spent on marketing. In fact, we guarantee it. This industry has become low skilled because of technology. The vast majority of low end graphic artists are actually computer operators with no formal corporate design training. They don’t understand how companies use design, they don’t have knowledge of typography, color theory or how business works. That’s how we command 10x the fee. |

Closed a $23k deal yesterday! (Three month assignment, likely to lead to a longer contract)
New urologist prescribed 4 months of hormone treatment and wants to wait and see before we jump to biopsies. Hopefully on a roll. |
