MY junk drawers are in/on my top tool chest in the garage, plus shelves of all types, then into the old 'shop' area shed off the side of the garage where I tore out an old window and made a passage way, there are about 6-8 old steel kitchen cabinets there, some on the walls, and an old maple counter top with wash basin, and a stainless base cab in the corner.....all buried in junk....

Me either, don’t believe in junk drawers. The wife has one, I don’t go near it

For some reason, this drives my wife insane, and she is forever taking them out of the drawer. The real problem is that when she removes them, she doesn't bother to truck on down to the tool box to put them away properly, so she stashes them someplace. Of course, I notice, and go and get another pair of screwdrivers, and the game is on again.

About once per year, I have to go on a "screwdriver hunt", because the screwdriver drawer in the toolbox is empty.

The bottom right hand side drawer of my desk qualifies.

My wife has one in the kitchen, if you really searched you might find Jimmy Hoffa.

To be fair I have to go into it on occasion I have a big Red Mack tool chest in the garage for a lot of my hand tools. If I can not find screwdrivers or many form of pliers, Allen wrenches there usually in the kitchen. She has no problem taking stuff out of my basement work shop, putting them back is another story.

When my kids were younger I always kept the Mack box locked, but today I realy do not have that option!

pfft, 6 in 1 screwdriver. saves space, meets any common need we have in the house. Mrs. DAB also has her own basic tool supply in her studio, so i don't have to go down to the shop or out to the garage every time she needs a screwdriver, screw gun, pliers, hammer, tape measure, etc.

My pocket knife has a standard and phillip's on it, but they are small enough to not always get the job done. My wife has no interest in owning tools, she views that as "men's work".

Install a lock on the junk drawer so she can't steal your tools.

That is probably pretty dang close to what is in ours. Comical! Always the first place I look for scissors, tape, batteries, a flashlight, or glue. And the occasional padlock!

There's money to be made here somewhere.

Maybe a very nice piece of furniture that locks, and holds all this stuff. Like a dresser for your laundry room or living room, that only has this stuff so the kitchen stays functional.

Also, a store called "The Junk Drawer" that sells all the stuff that is usually kept in a junk drawer...in case you prematurely clean it out and throw stuff away.
