We have had serious fireworks laws in the peoples republic of NY for decades.

Our commie want to be a dictator governor due to the C19 stuff would not let any pro shows happen.

So with that it should have been quite up here at the lake. LIKE USUAL the stuff going off around the lake was sounding/looking like the Battle Of The Bulge.

Starts about 8pm and goes on till about 12 PM. The amount of money spent on illegal fireworks has to be a real big number. For the best looking spot go out to the middle of the lake and you get 360 degree action.

The cops just drive around the lake and seem to enjoy the show just as much as we do!

It would be fine if our hillsides didn’t catch on fire if you even look at them angrily. That’s the reason that fireworks suck here in LA.

My son lived in Mt Washington accrosed the mountain from Dodger Stadium. That whole area for 20 miles are shooting fireworks that are illegal. Better than the ones at Disneyland. The police do nothing since half the city around there is shooting them. Very pretty.

I have a love/hate with fireworks.

I love watching fireworks shows and last night there were some impressive neighborhood fireworks. I can see them going off in about 8-10 neighborhoods from my house.

The problem is people are ignorant and don't know when enough is enough. I listened to a war zone until about 3:00 this morning and I know even though it is Sunday, the same will happen tonight.

If they were from 9:00 until midnight or so, I'd have no issue.

Should be fairly quite tonight. Most of the flatlanders leave their camps to go back home late in the afternoon.

Last Wednesday was Canada Day (our July 4th).

One of my neighbors called the cops on me for setting off fireworks in the field behind our complex. Apparently it's illegal now. Too bad.

So before I lit each set, I yelled out "**** YOU KAREN!!!"

Not sure exactly which neighbor it was. People like that never have the balls to say anything to your face but I fully expect to get yet another letter from the condo board.

EDIT: my little "show" started at about 10:30 and we were done and cleaned up by 11:15. Not excessive and we did not leave one scrap of trash behind. Unlike most.

Do y'all not have something like a Freedom of Information Request? Call to the police and police reports should be public information, even in the Democratic People's Republic of Canada.

I'd go request a copy of the complaint and subsequent police report, which should identify who called. Then you can talk to them in a non threatening, polite manner, and tell them if they ever have more problems with you, to at least give you the courtesy of them telling you directly, instead of passive aggressively calling the police.

Honestly I do not care enough to go through all that. I'm not friends with anyone here anymore. If I pissed her off too bad. Probably another "New Canadian" that doesn't give a shit about the day or what it means. The entire greater Toronto area is full of them.
