Are you thinking investment or just for fun?

If it's just for fun, $30k is more than enough, but if it's for investment you may never see that $30k again.

BTW; I'd got with the Impella

Cheap enough, Monk, but that paint is uglier than a mud fence.

Yeah I know, look at the last pic, the inside of the fender looks like it used to be red. oh well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I'd go with a Chevelle, a buddy of mine just got through doing one and he said there were a shit load of parts available for them.
His car isn't exactly to my taste, but he built it for his brother who was serving in Iraq as a company commander of an Armored unit. M1A1 tanks, the dead man's hand was their brigade ID. So he made the car as a homage for his brother.

I've always liked both of those models. If it were my choice I'd go with the Chevelle. Good luck with the project.

I like the way Chevelles ride and drive. I've had a 70 SS 454 and this 65. We've had it for 11 years now. It has a mild 496 BB, 4 WPDB, quick ratio PS, and mild chassis upgrades. It was built to be the wife's cruiser, so I could play with the Vette. It cruises comfortably, yet packs a punch if you put your foot in it... be it violent wheel spin from a 30 MPH roll, or the wife putting the smack-down on a gold-chainer in his POS turbo Carerra.

I love the Grand National, but it's not really what he's talking about IMO.

First Gen Camaro would be my first choice, but readily available and relatively inexpensive go out the window.

I would go for the Chevelle after that.

Want something people haven't seen huh?

I'm a huge muscle car fan and stumbled across this last week.
Never even heard of it, much less seen one.

$29980 and it already has an LS3.

1966 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight 88 Jetstar Coupe
According to the ad, less than 100 exist.
