Hobbies
My wife thinks I should show people my creations instead of building them and putting them in the attic,so here goes. I build 1/25 the scale buildings mostly of the 1950's from foam core board ,wooden stir sticks, plastic glass pinstripe ,wire and lots of glue, these are not kits.

Luggage cart
Just finished an 1893 railroad luggage cart, bought it in Columbia S.C. Took it completely apart ,refinished the wood ,repainted the hardware and reassembled. Took two weeks but love it!

I'd love to get back into model building. Too many irons in the fire now as it is.
Those look great! |

VERY NICE WORK!!!!!
In my younger days I built my ideal garage with balsa, brass, plaster of Paris etc.. all 1/24 or 1/ 25 scale. All wound up in folk's attic. After the Army, I found them crushed under a boatload of crap my dad stuffed up there after I was gone... Seeing yours brought it all back! Thanks!! |

For me, it's metal working. I just finished this garden gate after nearly 6 months of work in my spare time - literally 4 hours a week or so. It is almost 6' tall and 4' wide and is all steel with the owner wanting it to rust over time. The design is stylized flowers of glass and copper, the glass ones come out for winter and are replaced with aluminum ones instead.

Very nice builds and photos. If either of you interested in diecast or model building are not already members at HobbyTalk you should come check it out when you have the time. We have both a model building secton and a diecast diorama section that might be of interest to each or all 3 of you.
