February 2014 Photo Contest Subject

Subject: Capturing Motion/Movement.

Shoot anything subject as long as it is moving to some degree and you can feel the action. So nothing stationary or static. Experiment with your shutter speed to different effects. Can be shown as blurred to show the movement or as a Freeze Frame.

Something like this for Blurred (panning):




And this for Freezing Motion:

not going to be easy to capture motion off the couch to fetch more cheesy poofs, but i'll give it a try.

Put camera on a tripod, set shutter for longest duration possible given lighting conditions. Photograph Throwing said cheesy poofs into the air. Bam, done!

Good topic. I think some may have had trouble getting outside during the weather. Your pics count as a submission You are not to be excluded on the basis of picking the topic.

Maybe we should poll the peeps to see if there is any interest in continuing this?

Sorry about that on my end. I was posting up pics to give examples in the hopes that more people would participate. I didn't even know that I was eligible. If I am able to have an entry you can use this one below. Thanks - Rick
