For me the "19" in COVID-19 refers to the number of pounds I gained while under lockdown, so I'm finally starting to work on getting rid of that. I think I'm off to a good start.

I lost 12 pounds after gaining the Covid 20.
Proper diet, working out, and aerobic exercise is what is doing it.
8 more to go and I'm ripped for summer.
Well as ripped as a 58 yr old gets.

By inducing a state of ketosis whereupon the body burns fat for energy much more readily; speeding weight loss. It is induced by severely limiting carbohydrate intake as well as increasing fat intake to fuel the process.
Think the original Atkins diet before it became so commercially viable which bastardized his methods and principals.

I don't drink beer but somehow ended up with a bit of a beer gut these past 15 months. In just 4 weeks of starting back up playing golf once per week I have noticed that I'm losing some of the "dunlap" and I can tighten my belt to pre-KungFlu positions.

I rarely sit still for any length of time, I can keep moving all day just doing little stuff.
Less time on ass less time eating also. I eat more after sitting down at end of the day than all day combined. Not uncommon I have 2 dinners and a couple of snacks. I put on maybe 5 or 10 lbs during super hot or cold spells that keep me inside and it's gone in a couple of weeks when weather breaks.

I worked with a guy who had to never drink sodas or eat most sugary snacks(even just a few from time to time) he'd put on 15 or 20 lbs in a few months.

I've known a couple people who worked like dogs, didn't eat much and were way overweight. They had to diet just to keep weight where it was and they weren't big drinkers either.
