Again, thank you for all your kind words.

Little odd getting up this morning, she wasn't padding around, pulling the trash out of the trash can, nor drinking her water loudly, nor pulling her blanket all over the place, and certainly didn't help me do my morning business before taking her out to do her morning business (often in the cold and dark, ugh).

Just get up, turn the alarm off, empty the dishwasher and make coffee for us.

no morning greeting and chowing down on her breakfast.

kind of quiet around here today.

when someone else's pet dies, you can feel for them, but when yours dies, it really hits your own heart. and while she was "our" dog, she was mostly MY dog. if I was in the house, she was right there near me. no matter what I was doing. If I was out, she'd check on Mrs. DAB, and then go camp out on one of her 3 beds, waiting for me to return. bark, bark, bark...oh, he's home!!! wag, wag, wag....yes dog, I can hear you from the detached garage, i'm coming in a moment.

I know it’s too soon to think about it. But when the time comes, there’s a shelter dog waiting for a loving home.
