So blatantly obvious. She called off the hounds. Unfortunately Trump's team tipped their hand and suggested who all would be brought as their witnesses.

I went to MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS AND NBC and reveled in their meltdown. It was glorious.

Trump failed. We can argue whether he was really trying or just intent on creating a circus atmosphere in D.C. but he didn’t accomplish anything worth celebrating, IMO. (Unless having Liberals control Congress and the White House was the goal?)
Trump's biggest flaw is viewing people positively, and thinking that people will do the right thing, if offered the opportunity. Trump committed a hostile takeover of the R Party, but thought he could win the party apparatchiks by implementing America First, America worker first policies that had populist appeal. He was wrong. The R's chaffed and seethed at being vanquished, were upset that Trump won the devoted following of the bulk of R voters, and they worked hard to oppose him at every turn; in this respect, they were united with the D opposition.....oppose Trump. This explains everything....Paul Ryan's stonewalling of Trump, Jeff Sessions' "Et tu, Brute" moment, and everything else we have seen, including Cocaine Mitch harranguing Trump for McConnell's own failure.

Trump was truly a man apart, having only his base, the people in his corner, really. Those were odds he just couldn't overcome. He's one man, and he was surrounded by plants, resistance fighters, and others. Trump eventually found that he could trust virtually no one, not even Pence. I love Trump, and it's tragic how a guy who clearly loves his country, wants it to be peaceful and prosperous, was opposed by virtually the whole government and the whole political establishment.

My other major fault with Trump was in his hiring. Shit, he would have been better off hiring the more prolific posters on TheDonald (now patriots.win) to fill positions. He should have hired people who would have enthusiastically worked to push his policy objectives.

He had many failures, too, like the bump stock ban, and huge deficit spending, and also, not firing Faucci, Wray, Haspel, and other overt resistance fighters. I think toward the end, he just kind of gave up and coasted on the job, figuring that if he won reelection, THEN he would clean house. His failure to clean house and get election security in the states under control is why the election was stolen. There was zero excuse for the Georgia cheating to be affirmed, for example.

I agree with all of this except the bump stock move. He picked the most benign device and the lease impactful, and used it as a demonstration that he is not ignoring the issue. It was a "feel good" for the benefit of liberals. Municipalities had the option to not enforce also.

Respectfully, the great negotiator gave something, and got nothing. Was he lauded in the press for his ban? Did liberals stop their war on him, even for a day? No. What he did was like you donating to the blm. What good did that accomplish for you? You think they'd skip your house when they go through burning and looting your neighborhood?

He got nothing out of it. Leftists still hated his guts, and he shoved a stick in the eyes of his supporters. It was a bad move.

Maybe he's what you say but you have to ignore an awful lot of questionable stuff beyond the bump stock ban, like calling the Clinton's "good people" and signing off on trillion dollar deficits, demanding bigger inflation taxes, etc.

On top of that, he surrounded himself with swamp creatures, not just bad hires.

I hope he goes away, otherwise he gets used to divide our conservative base.

He had his chance.

He only had swamp creatures to choose from. And he didn't know they were swamp creatures until they revealed themselves as such. The swamp is significantly deeper than anyone realizes.

Now that’s the biggest bunch of BS in this thread. Are you going to tell me there were no qualified personnel from Kansas ? From Texas ? From South Dakota ?

Are only DC and NYC people qualified to run the country ? Seriously ?

He could have hired who ever he wanted. Most of his hires ended up being swamp creatures.

IB4somebodyelseagreeswithSnide.

He was from NY and hired from the circle he knew and suggestions from within. He should have made his first hire an advisor from a very conservative area who wasn't imbedded in the politcal system.

MIRACULOUSLY, and the libs will agree, his choice for judges that would not hear his fraud suits, were impeccably perfect choices and above reproach.
