Default New Car on it's way!!

After all the crap I've been through with GM and Cadillac, I've decided to throw the towel in and get something else. I worked a deal the other night on a new BMW M3, can't wait for it to be delivered next week to the dealership. The 1.5 hour drive home will be very nice to break it in and get to know it a little better.

Sad to say the Cadillac will be the last GM car in our household. When it is time to upgrade the TrailBlazer I'll look to something other than GM. GM customer service SUCKS and the regional representative are total control ass freaks.

Don't blame you. What color did you get? Six speed?

I have to agree with you, OP. I see that Ford dropped out of the top 10 in quality and moved to 23. Interestingly, the area in which cars are suffering in quality is all the electronic devices on them--GPS, plug-ins, multi-function controls, etc.

the Aux port in my truck is loose, so I have to wiggle it in the hole to make contact.

Doesn't get any more high-tech than that! A feckin' loose port...jeez. Sounds as modern as static from an old AM radio knob.

Of course. My daughter's old QX-4 ate CD players--4 in 5 years. Fortunately, I had to buy only 2 of them. I guess it was "fortunate" if you consider $400 a pop fortunate. I heard that BMW doesn't sell an in-dash 6-CD player because of the problems. Is that still the case?

You made the right decision, especially going for an M car.

Correct. I did settle litigation with GM but things are just not right with the car still. I went from love at first sight to getting stood up at the altar.

The M3 is Jerez Black Metallic, Competition Package, Convenience Package, Cold Weather package, M Double Clutch transmission, Sat Radio etc...
Car should be here about mid week next week.
I believe the car the dealer got is 2011 BMW M3 BASE, $75,975 - Cars.com

Well after fighting GM for almost two years on this car, the six month BS on the 08Z and the butcher job and non support for 9 months on the 07Z, I really would not have cared to step into a Hyundai. GM bent me over, cleaned me like a shotgun and wanted to reload again.

I don't see the M3 as a step down from the V. They are on about the same playing field, yeah the M3 has less HP but HP doesn't make a car. Now the new M5 is something to drool at. I just don't want to spend that much coin.
