As a law abiding citizen, I have no problem letting the entire planet know I have a Gun in my home; especially the non-law abiding citizens.

Problem is letting them know which ones do also tells them which ones don't or at least increases the chances they don't. It's like staking down a sheep to attract a wolf.

I wanted to add to the bottom of our ADT sign "Backed up by Smith & Wesson" but my wife had a fit.

What i would like to know is why Associated Press filed a "Freedom of Info Act" claim to get the FOID owners info anyways. Not that I give a shit about our dopey AG but someone else initiated this whole thing.

That's a good idea, but I'm sure my wife won't have it.
