I guess that depends on your definition of success

1) gun control has created more crime in cities with handgun bans, I guess that's a success for the criminals

2) health care....look at the VA

3) Fannie/Freddie succeeded in granting home ownership to people who shouldn't have ever owned homes.

4) Medicare/Medicare is fraud ridden

5) public housing/section 8........giving homes to people for free, so they can destroy them and the landlords can eventually give up and turn them into crack houses

6) SS is broke.
