GPS is a must have tool also.

We landed in Frankfurt one time and found out hotel. Then ventured out to find a place to eat. We just drove with really no place in mind. We found a small village that had a restaurant. It also had a C5 sitting out front. We ate there and it was very good. I don't have a clue what we ate. No one in our group spoke German and no one in the restaurant spoke English. We ordered from the pictures in the menu. It was cool.

It's all old over there. I ate in a restaurant that was built in the 16th century. It had been a restaurant since the early 1800's. It was cool.

lol... good one!

Since there will be 3 of us, I don't see me convincing her to ship a Vette over there ahead of time... that's one thing I wan to cross of my list... driving flat out on the autobahn.

Yeah, they don't call it "the Old Country" for nothing. NEW to them is stuff built in the 1800s and up. Heck, the stuff rebuilt after WWII is practically brand new comparitively.

One thing about Germany, alot of it is 60ish years old. but it looks old. I was told that newer building have to be built to look old. I noticed that most of the trees were all about the same height. It's because they are all about the same age. They were all replanted after WWII.

Don't get to excited about going all out on the Autobahns. There are speed limits. As I told Kim, I got a ticket by a speed camera on one.

i love old... its exactly what im looking for on this trip.. history

Located in the heart of the historic Marais district, in a pedestrian area, a few steps from the Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, Picasso, Carnavalet and Louvre museums, the Saint Merry Hotel is the former presbytery of the Saint-Merry Church. In addition to its comfort, it offers you a complete change of scenery in its finely restored 17th century interior.

i stayed here on my last visit to Paris. i cannot wait to stay there again. its soo cool

Italy. No question. Unless you're planning to hit Ireland while in the UK.

Yeah, I've done alot of reading about how they've really limited the amount of "open" sections of the autobahn, but there's still alot out there as well.

Kim will tell you, I'm not a 'speeder' by any stretch of the imagination. I do my fast stuff on the track.

I wouldn't mind hitting the Nordschleife someday as well.
