Santa Monica....If you like seafood and haven't been before, check out the Enterprise Fish Co restaurant. It's on the main drag south of the pier...closer to Venice actually. Very good food, casual, a little pricey but not crazy-expensive.

Texas is central for alot of folks, so I think it's a good idea. I'd be willing to travel, though, if the timing was good.

I think the Memorial Day Weekend thing was just a joke. And I, like Jo, would not support the idea of booking it that same weekend.

I was only half-kidding about a party at my place, but I haven't got a clue as to how we'd fit all the cars in the neighborhood. Anyway, North Texas would be great but I know there would be folks coming from all over so it might not work for some. I understand the reasons for being in BG, but it's anything but centrally located. Weather would be perfect here as it's always hot on Labor Day.

I'm in the Houston area. Iron Chef is in the DFW area, specifically Aledo, which is west of Fort Worth.

Your place is much bigger and better for a party than mine....and I'd be glad to drive up there and help.

If we really did something there, some would have to rent vans to carpool to the house from whichever hotel we picked.

Does anyone in TX own a ranch with a party barn? That's what we really need!!!
