Default Drove my first C5 today

Car is a silver '99 6 spd. Was a basic car, no options that I noticed. Having driven it I now understand some of the complaints. The base seats really are garbage, about as thin and unsupportive as seats can get. The plastics definitely feel cheap, even compared to my 94 lexus. The stock shifter felt incredibly notchy. I can see where having a fully optioned car is the way to go.

For my overall impression: OMFG I LOVE IT! The car does what I want a sports car to do. There is plenty of power, the sounds are intoxicating, the view out over the hood is one of a kind. I was willing to settle for a LTx C4 but not anymore. Now I gotta find a Z06 to try out

Wait until you drive one with a nice cat-back, like my B&B Bullets!

Can only imagine. Sound clips on youtube probably don't do it justice. This is something I've wanted to do since '97 when the c5 came out.

Nothing beats driving under an overpass, top down, and dropping the hammer! An angrier sound I haven't heard (until I get LT's that is!)

If you buy an MN6, it will happen eventually. Please just get one. Best $50 - period.

You can actually get one for $40 shipped, from Adaptive Performance - just don't expect to see it for 3 to 4 weeks. I just made the mistake of ordering from this buffoon, and now I have to wait and see if it actually shows up.
