Who won the debate: What the polls say...
Some polls are predictable, some are not:
Drudge Report Trump 82% Clinton 17% TIME Magazine Trump 55% Clinton 45% CNBC Trump 67% Clinton 33% The Patch (Atlanta) Trump 84% Clinton 16% CNN* Clinton 62% Trump 27% (*CNN's pool sample was 41% Democrat and 26% Republican) Bear in mind that the online polls are not scientific and, in many cases, supporters of either candidate can cast multiple ballots. Experts were near unanimous in finding Clinton was more disciplined and armed with greater recall of facts, but Trump’s blunt style and unconventional background are among his best attributes. Trump’s best moment came when he distinguished himself from Clinton based on their disparate backgrounds. Trump characterized his opponent as a "typical politician," who knows how to make statements and promises that sound good, but who never actually gets things done. Lester Holt, the moderator, challenged or asked Trump follow-up questions 26 times. He did this to Clinton only twice. Something of a cloud hangs over the debate when it was noticed that a crew member collected Clinton's notes from her podium and handed them to Holt. Was she given the questions ahead of time and had prepared answers? |

I'm not putting too much stock in those online polls. As I recall, Ron Paul would have been our president back in '08 and we wouldn't be in the mess we are in right now.....but those polls back then clearly weren't accurate.

I knew it before it began that Trump had to take on hill and the "so called'' moderator. Anyone on here ever heard the term kangaroo court? |

Against the US being the world's policeman? Check and check. Against ballooning national debt? Check and check. Against crippling government regulation? Check and check. Against the Iraq War? Check and check. We blew all of our money on failed ideas and policies and now have nothing to show for a $ 20T national debt? Check and check. I could go on. Trump is by no means a libertarian, any more than he is a conservative, but he has the star power to promote common sense, America first, ideas , whereas RP was just looked at as being a little weird for promoting many of the same ideas. Things had to get to this level before many Americans finally clued in to the fact that we are headed down the toilet. RP, like Perot, was just ahead of his time. |

I liked Rand too but wow, when push comes to shove, he always sides with the establishment. That fact killed him in the primaries.

I don't know what people were expecting... maybe that Trump would point at our reptillian mother-lord and shout:
You're Fired ! He was of a more serious manor, more like at a board meeting discussing a major business deal; and not there to entertain us as part of a TV reality episode. |

ALL the above does not MATTER a whit DAMN.....the ballot count is rigged with the electronics, ACORN nationwide, financed by SOROS riggs the ELECTONIC count....not the ballots, that shit is just a distraction...to frustrate the poll workers.....meanwhile the REAL operatives rig the electronic count and so to prevent another 'election' being stolen like the last two go rounds.....
this NATION needs manual paper ballot counting at the precinct level like we did 50 years ago.....ALL else is bullshit..... AND if Trump looooooses, we need a revolution, flat out....take the islamic/commies out of power.....permanently....forever..... |

I have worked at my local polling place for about 7 years, at every position from clerk to inspector. We basically still use paper ballots, but the law requires electronic voting to be made available. This is due primarily to the people who make the electronic equipment lobbying to get such laws passed.
Now we are a small town with a primarily elderly population, and most people vote by absentee ballot. So on election day, about 100-150 is the average turnout. We offer them a paper ballot, but also inform them they may vote electronically. I all the years I have worked there how many people do you think have used the electronic ballot? How about three. Shows what the people here, anyway, think of electronic voting. Over the years I can't imagine how much money county wide has been wasted on purchasing and manning these machines. |
