Talk about a shot in the gut. ..
Tim was the guy that did what every guy wishes they would have done.
I was able to live that life vicariously through his wonderful posts.
My only regret is not getting there to meet him.
I shed a tear as I type this, again.
You will be missed and my world will not be the same.

There are very few instances when I hear things like this that make me cringe. This was one of those times. When I saw this on FB my stomach just dropped.
Tim was one of a very few people that I can say I am sorry I never got to meet. RIP brother.

An idea I mentioned elsewhere was possibly sending a monthly amount to help out his wife and kids. I figured out what I could afford and although it isn't much, it is at least an amount that they will get each month until the end of the year. If enough people can do the same, maybe it will sustain them for a while. I wish I had more to give but I'm kind of thin these days.

I never met the man but I still feel like I've lost a good friend. One of my first interactions with Tim was the "play it forward" idea where he sent me some old Corvette manuals, all the way from the Philippians. I offered to pay some shipping and he wouldn't hear of it. God speed Timothy.

Spoke with Tims wife last night. Their monthly expenses are right at $400/mo.

Half of that is the monthly school costs and the other half is good and electricity costs.

Rob, is there going to be a service or anything of that nature up here?

I know it's soon but have we considered an NCM block for Tim similar to Uncle P? I stopped by the museum on the way home with the new car. As I walked past Uncle P's brick it made me smile. I would love to see something like that for Tim as well.

I have already thought about doing something for Tim at NCM.

Maybe I can solicit some assistance from Bingo or Datawiz for helping design a memorial?

As for a memorial service, I would love to get one together for anyone that can make it. I mentioned it also here

I guess we need to get some thoughts on what kind of brick? Maybe something over at the NCM track since he was a racer?
