Honestly I think having a good father and mother is the superior parenting structure for the sake of a child.

I'd rank a good homosexual couple below that and above a good single parent.

And of course, any of the three could be superior/inferior to the other arrangement based on poor parenting skills, irresponsibility, lack of love, etc.

But in a hypothetical vaccum with ideal parents to choose from, the heterosexual couple would be preferable. Just as with single parents, children of homosexual parents will miss out on a parent of one sex or the other. Outside role models cannot fully replace a parent.

Seriously, i have a couple gay family members, close and 1 cousin. It is what it is.
But, I still feel a kid will be better off having a male and female parent together. Opinion, that is all. I stand my ground on that.
Single parents is a whole different ball game. That is usually not a choice.

I feel that kids are very impressionable. If they see two guys or women engaging in some form of sexual act, that the kid will think that is okay. And when he thinks its okay, he may persue it at school, playground etc. This can go many ways, but usually not good. Thats just an example. I think there is discipline factor from males and a coddling effect from females that can better raise a child. Just an opinion shipmate.
