Amazing there is only one source for crime stats, and they control it

It always bothers me when there is a sole source of data, for which no one else can verify, due to the controls.

Crime stats, along with job / economic stats top my list, the gov controls, the gov publishes, and no one can call them out with objective data, as there is no way to compile.

Here is one, oakland crime up 7%, I call BS, it is probably up more than 70%, but the mayor, city council and police chief all have incentive to keep it understated, while changing the rules for what constitutes a 'reported and countable' crime.

Another thought, these Defund The Police gov people are effing geniuses.
They stole a page out off the community activist handbook.
They defund the police, this money is not used to pay down debt, it is used for more corruption, like paying your uncle's brother $10B for traffic light synchronization, for the third time in ten years.

Once a year goes by, the provide crime states that necessitate more LEO funding, but they have no 'extra' money, as what was defunding is now sitting in their bank accounts.
So they get their congressperson or senator to get some Fed $$$$, and lots of them, as they have a crisis.
The new Fed $$$$ NEVER gets used for more enforcement, it simply gets lost in the system, as the gov people need more $$$$ for their lifestyle.

Next year they rinse and repeat, these socialsits are much smarter than we think.

Speaking of Oakland, CA - a shit hole. When I was working, I would take the Amtrak train to work in Santa Clara. During the ride, I had to go through Oakland. No wonder the A's are leaving this place. The video is 5 years old, but I'm sure it's worse now.

Avoidance 100% at all costs. It's really simple to do just that.

I no longer feel empathy towards able-bodied residents nor those that travel to/thru these failed demprog controlled chitholes. You've had enough warnings and examples to justify relocating and avoiding.

Agree. Anyone that is still in San Francisco or areas of Chicago for example (business or residence) needs to stop complaining. There is been zero indication of improvement. What are they waiting for? I'd drive 80 miles to work to avoid living in many of these cities. When Houston gets bad enough where I live, I'll move further out and drive further in.
