They would have you believe that the alt right Veritas Project is on the up and up and above all other sources. In this case, some lady from Miami I believe claims to have found the diary in a hotel room and leaked the story about Biden and his daughter. She then got Veritas to buy it and was later convicted of selling an item for gain that was not hers.

The poor saps at Veritas can't confirm those pages of the supposed diary exist nor can they prove the diary belonged to Ashley Biden and therefore never ran the story. Instead, it was picked up by local news agencies like the one quoted earlier based on the leaked information from the lady that sold it.

And we're the gullible ones too dense to get it.

You'll note that the Brandon regime had Veritas harassed over the provenance of the diary, AKA how it came to be in possession of the people trying to sell it to Veritas. They did NOT however, dispute the authenticity of the diary.

The diary, like Hunter's laptops, is the real deal. Inappropriate showers with Joe? Real. Now, we can question whether that was the delusional ramblings of a troubled young woman, or whether it actually happened.

From my understanding, even if the diary was actually stolen, vs. lost property, I don't know that it would have been illegal for Veritas to publish it. Veritas ultimately chose not to publish it out of an abundance of caution....not 100% sure it was authentic, and then they offered it up to the FBI, as I recall. And for that, Brandon had them attacked with lawfare from the DoJ. As an example, Veritas offered the diary to the FBI. Had the FBI actually investigated and wanted to prosecute Brandon for sex crimes, they could use the diary as admissible evidence, even if it had been stolen from Ashley, and not lost BY Ashley.

If that's not chilling the 1st Amendment freedom of the press, I don't know what is. And this isn't a left/right issue, because look at what is being done to the White Wizard, the Wikileaks founder. I love Trump, and Trump could have saved Assange, freed him from the Kafkaesque nightmare he has been living, but Trump didn't do it, and of course, Brandon isn't going to do it, either.

This is North Korea level chilling of the free press.
