Hard to tell without seeing the grill mesh but the GTO emblem doesn't appear to be on the front fender (behind the wheel and about centered)
Looks to be a run of '67s to me. Scott Gratuitous pic of my '67

‘67 grill pic, note the chrome trim under the middle, same as on Simpleman’s GTO. No chrome trim on the first pic means those are ‘66, not ‘67. Definitely’66 in the first post.

66's for sure, this car sat in a garage across the street for 13 years before the elderly homeowner asked me to look it over to see if it would run (she didn't realize it didn't have an engine). Belonged to her husband (also named Frank) who passed, '67 triple black convertible, pristine body, outstanding chrome and trim, racing history - she would NOT sell it to me after repeated attempts and finally a nephew from Ohio came and collected it and I helped him load it on the trailer.
At least it stayed in the family. |

Like all the gearheads said, it's a '66 Assembly line photo. And much appreciated too. Most of the one's I've seen are black and white, not color. Thank you!!
You can even see a full size Bonneville in the background. |

I had a ‘66 GTO with tri-power as well. One of several cars I wish I still had.

Used a total of 1/2 quart oil.....not bad for a stock 400 overhauled in 1988 with 85,000 miles on it. |
