Third Time's A Charm
After some lug nut confusion, an almost disaster with '59 catching on fire, finally got the wheels on, test drive was perfect, Mikey's happy.

Mikey was poking a new hood release cable through the firewall, the open metal end of cable struck the fuse box, the result of the contact caught the fuse box on fire, quick action with the fire extinguisher blew it out instantly. Some melting of the box, was salvagable, repaired, good as new.
A tense few seconds there.

That '59 reminds me of my '60, my first car......long about '67 or so.....same color except I had black scoops on the sides......

Norm those wheels look better on that car than they would have on my 57 Chevy. I had those same wheels on my 61 and it looked just that great too.
I’ve decided I’m going to be happier with the appearance of the existing rally sport wheels on the 57 Chevy than I would been have with these Cragars. Although with one caveat -I am going to change the center hubcap to the standard GM one rather than the three spinner that’s on there now.Shouldn’t be more than about 100 bucks to get a good pair of real metal caps and then I’ll have to look that I really want. Tell your friend to enjoy those Cragars because that really makes the car look perfect So it will look something like this Which I prefer to this |

Clark, they both look really good. I do lean towards the rallye's
If you go with the metal derby center caps, they ain't cheap. They make a short version and the longer, I went with the longer, just looks better to me. I went with the plastic repro's, looks good and a set for about $80.
