If I came into a billion I’d build a racetrack. Even though I don’t race. But I love building and would let you guys have as much fun that’s legal or could get away with.

Would be surprising if any are sold to non-team entities. Maybe one or two may get "saved", but I'm guessing that the vast majority will see the track. Chevy likely has a use agreement on this first run so that they get their advertising value out of them.

There were 23 "Amateur" GTD teams at Daytona last week. The top GTD amateur team beat the top GTD Pro team, and the top two amateur teams placed 1 and 3 in the overall GTR Pro/Amateur combined class. Sales to the "public"? Yeah, if you're a public like Wayne Taylor or Chip Ganassi.

There just choosing to run the C8R in GTDP and the GT3.R in the GTD class.

I would do similar, I would copy Nurburgring, give Team Corvette and Team Cadillac unlimited access, as well as GM for C8 and CTSV timed runs.
When porsche, mb and the other euro trash car companies came calling, I would tell them suck a bag of dicks.

Will also have a shorter course, probably a VIR clone.

Would also have a 6-star steakhouse and bar on site, with an amphitheater, only country music, maybe 70s rock band, a some southern rock bands.
Bar serves no fruity drinks, only American Beers, umbrella drinks banned, no family bathrooms.

Public access would be restricted based on on-site review of voter registration card.

No fees for anything, will ask for contributions to charities you can select from.

Easy fix, hire M&M to author the Hold Harmless Agreement, and require a family member to witness it.
In same agreement, include a provision they are 100% immediately liable for any damages to the facililty, hold $200K in escrow from all who want to run the track--use M&M to hold in escrow.

I enjoy being unprofessional, and thanks for helping me, as I should have included the FAB also.

The problem with The Ring, is they are beholden and very loyal to all german manufacturers, a helluvalot of nepotism.
While GM / Corvette gets no favors, which is why I believe they have such few lap times in recent years.

I remember Lou, of LG Motorsports was at The Ring about three years ago, they made him detune or lower his decibels, and never gave him an empty track.
BS, as they did not want to see him shame the porsches and amgs.

It's funny you guys mention building a track. Larry H. Miller, used to own the Utah Jazz, built a personal track. 4.48 miles and was originally built just for him and his friends to race their cars. It was decided they could use it commercially and for a bit we had NASCAR West, Superbikes, IMSA, MotoCross, and several others. It has since kind of gone downhill. NASA and some other smaller races happen out there. I track my car there as often as I can but it's sad what it has become. There is also a fun go kart track there too.

It is now owned by a Chinese development group so who knows what they are going to do with it.

Our only race facility, PBIR, formerly Moroso, shut down last year after over 40 years of great racing and entertainment.

The facility had a 1/4 mile dragstrip, a 2+ mile track, go cart track and the shittiest bleachers in the history of the world.

I believe Walmart bought it to put a warehousing facility on the site.
That apparantly has stalled, not sure why, but have been told there is no activity at the site.

Not sure how it will end, or hopefully get sold back, but there is another dood planning a much larger facility less than 20 miles north, BUT I see no action currently with this.

Sad thing is there are over 8M people in SE FL, and the nearest dragstrips are in Orlando and Bradenton, both are 200+ miles from me.
There is no road courses within the same distance.

If I win a couple billion with the lottery, I will fix this problem for the racing enthusiasts down here.
