Nephews just went back and both spend too much in Thailand. Broke ass mofos but seem to manage. I haven’t been there in a couple of decades but hope to see Rome again before it’s too late.

I’ll be there at least 4-5 times this year. Went there several times during the heart of COVID in early 2021 as well. Was weird being there when they had 9PM curfews. I mean, dinner is just getting good about then.

I was really thrown off when my family moved back here to the states from Italy and dinner was at 1830hrs

Actually it began with FDR. He went so far as to eliminate right-leaning Democrats from power. Then he packed the SCOTUS.

Trump was the first Republican to play by the Democrats wrestle-in-the-mud rules. He was good at it, which is why they hate him so much.

FDR won over 40 states for his 1st couple of terms and close to 40 for terms 3 and 4. Of course Reagan won over 40 in 1980 and 49 in 1984. Not sure another president will ever do that.

That is not what I have seen. Did you see that during your international travels in the 90s?

I’m not making a judgement on it, but the polarizing views were interesting and an echo of what was seen here for sure.
