Anyone that watched the video of them ravaging that convenient store, would be very hard pressed to not make the same comparison. It looked EXACTLY like chimps turned loose in the store. I'd say that if they were a white too.

In most cases yes, bad taste. Yes deratory. It's name calling.

And I understand the use is often to denigrate and belittle. And that may have a racial element.

But saying someone is acting like a bunch of chimps or monkeys does not necessarily mean there is a discriminatory action or a systematic racism.

The word in and of itself is not racist however, over time it became racist. Initially it was no different than "African American" or "Negro". It then came to be a racial slur as the country took it's first steps toward "woke".

Eh.......I got/get called everything except a child of God sometimes. Cracker mother****er, white trash, Ofay. Haven't heard honky since the '70's They're all meant to be demeaning and racist. Nigger is no different. African Americans can refer to each other like that with impunity. Most of the time, White people cannot. I admit that I've used that term to describe most of humanity, race not being a factor, but acting like an asshole.
I rarely use that term now. To me, it's over used and passe.
Pretty soon now, my oldest son will propose to a black lady he's been dating. She's a teacher, has 2 children 8 and 10. Her ex went nutshit and committed suicide 5 years ago. Adult onset Schizophrenia, unmedicated. If they wed, she and her children will become a welcome part of our family.
Should anyone show the poor judgement to refer to them in ANY derogatory manner will be met with hostile intent, and that's putting it mildly.

If you listened to a lot many blacks have said over the course of time, they will comment they cannot be racist. That they are not a big enough force to push a agenda therefor they cannot be racist. Pure bullchit as they are a very racist bunch.

When I first heard this updated news I figured the white cop was probably guilty of nothing more than saying hello to one of the black cop’s in the break room before their shift that day.
