Is he going to hire you to build this new multi directional bank? I think you would be perfect for it because you never know where you are going.

I remember those lame ads on the back pages of comic books.

"X-RAY GLASSES! SEE THROUGH WALLS! $1.49!"

"LEARN JU-JITSU WITH THIS BOOK! 99¢!"

Years ago I got into hot water at work because my phone message on the voicemail said "if you're calling about the sea monkeys, they were alive when I shipped them. All other inquiries, please leave a name and number....."

Some libtard woman from HQ called and got my voicemail and complained to my boss that I had a 'spanking the monkey' message on my voicemail.

Boy, was THAT a can of worms to straighten out, but once he heard the message, I was in the clear. AFTER I replaced it with a normal message. LOL...

You have to ignore the pregger and immediate post-pregger periods of time.

That Daisy Duke picture was almost 20 years ago. She’s been through a hell of a cycle since. Looks pretty rough now.

In my experience, the old people, men and women, who seem to live longer and healthier, are ones that never simply 'retire', as I and Stealth have done. Instead, they volunteer, help out, stay employed, etc. Keep busy and have a goal and purpose each day. Still vital. Still 'in the game'. Instead of waiting for 5pm each day to begin cocktail hour or heading over the pass again to bug out alone in the desert.

My grandmother's most productive years were from age 65 to age 90. We had a guy at my work who was at the lowest level, but had been there for over 50 years. They forced him out at age 80 with 53 years served. He had a bigger pension than even the bosses bosses. He was dead within 9 months. The job was his reason for living. Different strokes. Perhaps I'll get motivated soon. After 42 years of banging my head and knuckles, though, it feels pretty good to coast a bit! The thought of being STS's wingman on an epic cross-country trip to visit all you eastern guys is very intriguing.

Again, some enjoy helping others and being productive. Or there's you, sitting on your ass bragging about your largess.

My grandfather dads father retired at 51 and bought 80 acres in Sonoma. At 87 years old he painted the inside and outside of his house by himself. The farm kept him busy was up at 5 am and went to sleep at 8 pm. Died at 95 in his sleep after a day's work on the farm.
Your grandfather for the win. Great story. My dad's dad died in 1975 at age 77. He produced 4 kids: two doctors, a lawyer, and a school teacher. Only the school teacher was a conservative like Opa. The other 3 kids, including my dad, socialists. Opa had a 160 acre hobby farm in Indiana and would drag the kids there on the weekends in the 1940's to help out, plant trees, etc. They all hated it except for my conservative aunt, who had a work ethic. When we got our first new house in 1964, Opa flew out to CA from IND and he and I went to Navlet's Nursery in Walnut Creek and we picked out bamboo, palms, and other trees for the 'jungle' section of the yard where our play-house was. My liberal brother and family members stayed home. Not interested. I sure wish I could spend a day with Opa now. We share the same values. I love being productive with nature when I get the chance. Very gratifying.
