Ironically there are more trolls here in OT than there are over there in OT. That hasn’t always been true. A certain how do I say this nicely ‘style of moderation’ does have its advantages.

It once was a place with CFOT PR&C. C for Controversy. Controversy used to be ok. It once was a place with 15 k threads, full of limericks, songs, poetry, and terminal psychosis. It once was a place where chess playing was allowed and new chess players were welcomed, not cancelled. It once was a place of comraderie and good natured ribbing.....not keeping notes of indiscretions and walking on eggshells while reporting it. And on and on.

I have deft skills.
I soon learned that over there I could not remain if I utilized my entire arsenal.
I need to avoid discussing politics with anyone, as it gets ugly fast, due to I lack PC.

BTW, OT over there was good, great people, glad many of them saw the light and headed here.

As far as PRC, it sucks, the only discussions allowed are the ones the mods will tolerate--that is not a discussion, hell, it is not even America, more like communist china.

cfot lost almost all its appeal when GTO left, dood is a top-tier lyrist (not the instrument thingy) and song penner.

I will always go there, as benefit from the C8, C7 and C6 sections, many good posters in there, and a lot of help given for tech / modding subjects.

Today I went in, a window comes up, wants you to answer five quick poll questions.
So I opted in on the poll, never really answered any questions, simply selected other answer so I could type in whatever I wanted.

Advised them their mods are one-sided with total power, and that is never good.
Advised them that men do not deserve to be treated like young children.
Advised them that many are banned for reasons that do not exist on other forums.
Advised them that any administrative action should have a path for appeal.

I never bothered with PRC before Covid. Then I started posting there in early 2020. It was all great, I never held back on anything, never had any warnings.

Then in mid- to late-summer (in the middle of the riots, of course) they started getting pricky. I just quit posting there then and stayed in OT.

Occasionally I would post in a thread in OT that would later get moved to PRC -- but I never followed any of them. There was no point.
