I have a picture somewhere of a huge warehouse and business complex being built down the road from my office and in the foreground are Longhorn steer.

Very HUGELY most excellent point, but at least you negated the stupids in your state, so there is hope.

We have our own Paris, replete with Eiffel Tower:

And while you are in Paris, don't forget to stop by and tour the Campbell's Soup plant! It's a must see!

And the ripley's wax museum across the street is pretty cool, too.

The thing I found surprising and disappointing is that the Alamo, which I consider a sacred piece of history, is smack in the middle of a bunch of commercial BS. Stores and downtown type businesses. Not much buffer zone at all. That picture masks all of that.

Texas history is full of heroes, and symbols of bravery and intestinal fortitude that are still recognized today.

Edit: And the story of the Alamo is truly legendary. Facing a much superior siege force of thousands of Mexican soldiers, the Alamo defenders, even after getting final word that no help was coming, made the decision to stay and fight, knowing they were going to be overrun and be killed. Balls of steel doesn't begin to describe the Alamo defenders.

The more you read and learn about The Alamo, the greater your depth of respect for those who fought an unwinnable battle!!
Wonder how our woke military would fare today??

We are thinking Saturday March 4 for Walker Hayes and Monday March 6 for Jason Aldean. Fly in the morning of the 4th and back out on the 7th

I sold my Walker Hayes already, but I have two tickets to Jason Aldean, they’re yours at cost if you’re interested, lower bowl pretty good seats. (My cost was $35 ea), they’re selling for well over $100 ea right now. Don’t forget to hit up the wine garden.

That is most likely a deal, we’re just finalizing flights and hotels, etc. I’ll PM you by tomorrow

Huge thank you to VB as always, especially Chris and Bill for all the clarifications and certainly Chris for the tickets , we are now all set.

Fly in on Sat 3/4, go pretty much straight to the rodeo; Sun 3/5 is an open day at this point; Monday 3/6 is a rodeo day also; fly home Tue 3/7.

If anyone is around the medical center area and wants to grab a beer on Sunday 3/5, let me know. Also if you have any recommendation on places to go or eat, we're skipping a rental and just Ubering around. I'm definitely interested in finding a great BBQ place.

We have wanted to do the big three (IMO), Houston Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, and Calgary Stampede, for some time. One of the three will now be complete.
