You're assuming I'm planning to go to CI this year.

I might, not sure yet. This is the first year I really don't feel all that excited about it.

I dunno, more hoping this site will be able to assemble it's own gtg tradition, and if so, that event would be my priority.
CI has really been dying off the past couple years, I'm in the mood for something new.

I only went to CF to see a few people I never got to see... one of them is dead, a few dont have Corvettes anymore I miss how it used to be, and Carlisle just doesnt cut it.

Curious about your Carlisle comment. I have plans to go there in August ... Is it not worth going to or ?

No Carlisle is neat, but not something I like going to every year. I've gone twice and went in 2008, may go again this year. Back in the day the Cruise-In in BG was great. Got to see old friends and socialize and go on road tours and plant tours etc. etc. Carlisle is a huge car show more or less w/ lots of vendors etc.

The past few years the CI has really died down a lot. We used to have a blast unwind and relax. I think things started changing about 4 years ago. I'm not sure if I'll make it to the CI or not. If the plant is not on strike I might come down for a day or two, only 1 hour away so the drive isn't too bad. I might take the time to go to the Dragon and run some of the back roads down that way again. The Dragon was good but the parkway was a blast as well. There is always the Devils Triangle down in TN as well.

See, I never get to participate in any of this stuff. CI is damn near a 2k mile drive each way for us on the wrong coast. We should have our own cruise in.
