Wow, some interesting reading in this thread for sure. I knew something had happened, but had no idea of some of the things mentioned in this thread. I knew Iron Chef was no longer around and I contacted a mutual friend and asked a few questions, and kinda figured the rest out for myself. The things with Jesse and Jim-i had no idea, but then again i'm not (and never have been) in the 'click"-so to speak. I sort of just skated around the edge, and from what i'm reading-that's not necessarily a bad thing. Glad i came here-kinda cleared some questions up. Thanks for lett'n me in.

For a 1 month ban, I doubt they bother (unless an offensive avatar was the reason).

It seems they do everything they can to NOT announce who is banned.

Other members figure it out (from other sites or email), and inevitably announce that person is among the banned, and then they too are on the hook for the rule violation of discussing banned members. Rather clever hook.

Hence the "he's at camp", or "he's on vacation" comments. Skirts the printed rule, but the experienced peeps know what it's all about.

I had 10 days and was swooped off the board. The ones I knew of, same thing. Avatar gone.

My efforts donating a Rolex, Big Lebowski painting, and a bunch of other stuff raised several thousands of dollars for that charity.
