I'd have to disagree with that. I happen to know for a fact that sites like this and Banned Camp and periodically monitored.

I just spoke to a CF member tonight who said that he received a message from none other than savewave who gave him a light scolding about things said in another forum.

This after savewave howled repeatedly that he "didn't visit other forums...it would make him crazy"

What a tool.

Wow, I can't believe I read so much of this thread.

Very enlightening to say the least.

How is it that something as fun as the Corvette hobby can get confused with politics/agenda/ego's....Its just beyond me.

Im on thin ice as well over there. I behave now days as Id prefer not to get banned.

with the vigor & gusto displayed by them in policing their little kingdom I have no doubt they are aware of what's going on here. I have no doubt the messengers have been faithful after returning from this forum. we saw some of the same thing at that blue forum.

I must be naive. Although I believe what you say I really can't believe that one forum would care what is said on another forum unless maybe it's the Captain Kirk is better than Piccard forum spying on the Captain Piccard is better than Kirk forum. As long as the members on that particular forum behave and play by the rules who would honestly care what they do outside of said forum? They let that child molester guy stay on the forum so obviously it's not a question of what kind of person you are.

I never really cared to know about any of the politics at the other place and was happy as long as I could get good info and tips on my car and see some cool pics of other peoples cars. One of the purposes of the forum in my opinion was that people looked out for one another and you could find out if these heads were good or bad or if this shop was good or bad etc. It's kind of sad to find out that there is bias and sneakiness behind the scenes. I guess I liked it better when I knew less.

the tech areas of the forum are as you say, helpful & informative. OT & PRC are nothing but a quagmire of "how many Obama/Liberal references can we make." hell, I've seen it done in a Caturday thread.

This is a new development, when I was a mod I was told to avoid those sites, and only worry about what people actually did on CF.

I don't know about an agenda. I was a mod for 2 years, '05-'07, and I can say they were inconsistent.

It's true - things get down right nasty at camp sometimes and CF's minions don't just let it slide.

I was warned about that first, did not see it for myself, and after I called him out on it he backed down, and did not make eye contact with me at CI VIII. I knew someone would bring this up. Some people really focus too much on the CF and its mods.
