Sad to hear of your Mom's situation.
We went thru this with my wife's father for over 4 years.
Congestive heart failure can be a manageable disease for quite
a few years, but it's still a sad time to go through.

My mother suffered from build up of fluid for many years. The key became closely monitoring her weight. Prayers for your Family.

well.....

talked with Dad a bit ago, the hospital is no longer allowing visitors, so he's back home (it's only about 3 miles from home to the hospital). they told him that they will likely send mom home mid-morning tomorrow (monday).

i take that as they know that they can't do anything for her, so let her spend her time with her husband of 58+ years.

i can hear the pain in Dad's voice.

but this is the lot for all.

oh,

got some finish on the bowl, will send it to Raazor after Christmas (no way i'm heading to UPS this week, i'm not that stupid).

Sorry to hear that. My Mom got diagnosed with "congestive heart failure" in 1977. It was treated successfully at that time, and she ended up dying in 1992. We didn't get an autopsy (didn't see much point), but I believe that it was the diabetes that brought her to the end.

We were all thankful for the 15 years the doctors gave her after he body turned against her. I am still hoping for a better result for your Mom, but if it doesn't come, I wish you peace with how it all worked out like me and my family have with my Mom.

I'm sorry to hear this... I hope they recommended a home hospice service for her. I just went through this with my dad for 5 months, PM me if you want to talk.

A remarkably long story, but my father and mom are responsible for the Seven islands State Birding Park in Kodak, Tennessee. She loved watching the birds, and her quilting friends raise the money to put a bench there in her honor.

Sorry to hear about your mom. My dad went through some of this away back, he was told congestive heart failure. For some reason they did not first notice his heart was stopping quite often, nobody knew but he was near to dying every few minutes. A pacemaker was installed and he came back to good health for several more years. Very slim odds but thought I would pass that on.
