In a Sick, Perverted way; I’m kind-of looking forward to the look on the Republicans Face when they actually have to do something more than nothing. You know, like make a difficult decision and actually Govern, out in the open where everyone can see the truth.

Like the Dems in charge of congress since 2007 (before the current downturn) have done a stand up job of leading the country out of the downturn. Spending our way out of this is not working, Bush's biggest deficits were when the Dems were in charge of congress, but you all have memory gaps here. Would be great to see only the house go Pubs and keep the Senate with the Libs in charge, we do not need anymore of the Libs failed policies of the last 4 years, and with the POTUS he would veto any headway the Pubs would attempt to make, so a split congress and we will see if the Left POTUS can work to do what America is after and that is not more spending or taxes, they want business friendly laws and to repeal the HC law, did you notice Boeing as the latest company with 90K employees site the HC law as why increases will be put to the workers, yes you can keep your current plan, BS

I’m confused … are you saying the Republican Leadership went along with Democratic policies or did the Republicans “obstruct” policies that the Democrats tried to implement and thus, the old polices that the Republican put in place put us there where we are now? Let us know when you make up your mind on where you stand in history, because January 2009 was only 23 months ago. Because you’re either part of the problem or you’re part of the solution; but if you’re on the side-lines it’s obvious you’re not in the game and that's a bigger problem if you’re still bringing home a Big-Government paycheck from the American People! BTW, did you see the segment last night where they listed all the Republicans who not only made a compelling case for the Stimulus, but made a “written” case to Washigton on why it would work for their home district? Also; I’m currently looking out the window at the Chicago River at in my client’s office, located at 100 North Riverside Plaza. So don’t believe everything you read about Boeing, seeing has a better view on your perspective. Still laughing in the mirror? You may need to wash it down before you choke on it! |

I’m assuming whoever you trust with your investments, is actually qualified in investing and is somewhat successful at it? Or should we just continue to pretend and play stupid in regards to Palin, O’Donnell … and the likes. |

Now “smart” takes on a lot of forms, but “stupid” is uniquely identifiable and the consequences last a lot longer. I think George Bush had some smart people around him, but the stupid things he did we’re paying for now and will be paying for decades. |

I know many of you disagree … but attempting to reform Health Care and Wall Street is the RIGHT thing to do, not the most popular, but the RIGHT thing to do. If no one ever tries, it’s an absolute certain it will never get done. It will never be perfect, but you’re never have anything to refine in you don’t have some place to start. That’s the deterrence between Governing and simply holding your ground. |

Bush and the neocons allowed terrorists to attack us so Bush could lie us into invading Iraq to save his daddy from history (rewriting revisionism ... comma statement) ... where the resulting war crimes & holocausts & economic devestation / depresssion globally simply can't be construed in the Bush era as mere *not knowing the right thing or the wrong thing* ... it goes beyond the pale of anything America has ever known ... it exposed *right-wing thought* for what it is ... life as sheer depravity for all except for the few ... What part of todays right-wing *narrative* in this regard has changed ? |

It continues to stun me how the Nordic countries, along with other European "socialist democracies", continue to rank at the top, or near the top, in nearly EVERY SINGLE index regarding health, happiness, civic participation, freedom, economic fairness, etc....
And yet right-wingers continue to mindlessly chant, "USA! USA! USA! WE'RE NUMBER 1" No...we're not. We're...number 18. Or number 30. Or even number 65, depending on which index one looks at. Our country has been in slow-motion collapse ever since Reagan brainwashed large segements of our electorate, and gutted our ability to even minimally fund projects for our very future as a Republic. Just last night, I, unfortunately, happened to catch John Bolton on Greta van Susteren's show on Fox, calling Europe a "civilization in collapse." Not quite, John, but keep preaching to the poor, deluded right-wing choir. |
