Opinion needed
Recently, my Traeger Lil Tex smoker grill finally gave out on me. I loved it, but it had its problems. Mostly with the digital thermostat control. Anyway, I have been smoking on my regular charcoal grill (not designed as a smoker pot attached to the side) using a smoke pot on top of the charcoal. It smokes great, and does the job, but not as great as my pellet feed smoker grill. I am thinking about buying another smoker pellet feed grill, but I hate to have the same problems as I did before with other smoker pellet feed grills. So, I am also thinking about buying me a gas grill and smoke on it as well using my smoker pot, in-direct smoking.
So, I am open to suggestions as to which direction to go and which smoker pellet feed grill I should get. I have looked at Fast Eddie's 100, Cookshake as well. And, Masterbuilt smokers, too. |

Did you contact Texas Star Foods, (832) 443-9643 and let them know your problems? Rick has always been real helpful with any questions.
I've had a Lil' Tex Elite for a year and a half. I love it! |

No, I did not due to the several on-going problems. Even tho I still had a few months left on the warranty, I still got rid of it. I had continuinng problems with the digital thermostate not maintianing smoke control, shorting out my circurt at home, once I replaced the heating rod, I started to have problmes with that, twice it stopped working. I loved it in spite of these problems, but it was just starting to get more of a headache than I cared for any longer. I am still looking for another smoker grill such as Fast Eddie's, Cookshake, and a few others. I am also looking at the gas smoker type grills, too.
