as far as modern times go...

It would have been awesome to have been a wealthy white man with good looks and a set of smarts back in the late 40's and the 50's.

I also would have loved Florida before "the railroad".

and the colonial times in Early America also would have been interesting.

there are others: like living on a Caribbean or south Pacific island before modernization.

of course, for many...the Grand Daddy: living in the middle east when Jesus walked among us. Wow!

I'd have to agree. The Fifties were a fun time, other than the Cold and Korean Wars. It was a time of expansion and growth, lots of new innovations. Cars were becoming more than just transportation.

What would be funny is if you forgot to include "being white" in your wish. After you made your wish, you were turned into a black man and deposited in Birmingham. If it was the 1950's you could get the hose, if it were the 1840's, you could pick cotton for free!
