Save your money and time... wait for Green Lantern to come to DVD

Yep... that's right. I'm glad we paid the matinee price to see it. It was a so-so movie, not really exciting. Pretty much, you can expect it to be like every other adaptation of a comic book.

As for The Green Lantern... DC character films suck. The two good Superman movies in the 80's and an excellent Batman trilogy in progress will prove to be the exceptions that make the rule.

I was a huge comic collector as a kid, Green Lantern was my fave...when I heard this was coming I swore I'd see it on the big screen...and the ads just look silly. I just can't bring myself to spend the cash. I'll still buy it when it comes out. In the bargain bin.

I heard it was as tepid as dish water. I'll wait for the DVD kiosk if I wind up peepin' it at all.

My younger brother had a chick offer to take him to see it fo free Saturday and he still balked (uh, on the movie, not hookin' up with the chick).

As I saw more and more of the previews my hopes waned.

I still want to see it, though. Green Lantern was one of my favorites.

Amazes me how much DC can get wrong and Marvel can get right.

I hope you mean Superman (70s) and Superman 2. To be fair to DC, what else have they made? If you take out Batman (and spinoff characters), and Superman, what's left?

Marvel has more than it's fair share of crappy movies- Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra, Ghost Rider, Howard the Freakin Duck, etc.
