Last year I built raised boxes similar to yours and had a nice garden. Season here is later than yours. So far I have planted tomatoes, zuchini, various kinds of squash, carrots, onions, radishes, various melons, beets and I have a few huge artichoke plants that are huge and already producing. By july I will be trading stuff with the gang at the local coffee shop. We all grow stuff and trade. Things are just starting to come up now.
It's cheap, fun, and I know my vegetables have no pesticides on them. I am fortunate to have an army of lizards in my yard that seem to eat all the bugs. Birds were eating my early sprouts (they especially like beets) so I put brightly colored pinwheels in the boxes to scare them off. It seems to be working.

I also grow roses and put them in vases throughout the house.
You have a great variety of stuff planted. My favorite bumper sticker I saw was, "Lock your car doors--it's zuchinni season!". That stuff does produce a lot! A good ole Southern recipe is zuchinni spears, stewed tomatoes, and sliced onions boiled until tender, lots of black pepper sprinkled on top. Especially good with corn bread.

The only roses I have are Knock Out Rainbow, which is a prolific producer of blooms, but they're small and not that attractive.

That's a lot of growth for 10 days. Looks like you have good soil. What kind of corn?

I remember now. That's good stuff! Have you noticed how much closer together you can plant corn now, with better seeds and fertilizer? You might get only 2-3 ears per stalk instead of 3-4, but you still come out ahead with smaller spacing.

I don't grow vegetables. I am growing herbs though. Here is my current crop

I have one tray of parsley and Thyme, one tray with mint, basil and cilantro. I have another pot basil and two pots of rosemary. They are all on a mister landscaper system and get watered every three days at the moment.

I am going to plant lemon balm and Lemongrass soon.

I probably won't have enough parsley and possibly basil, don't know. I probably have too much of the other.

Any suggestions of other good herbs (legal ones).

Gonna use some basil and parsley on oil and butter penne with garlic, salt and pepper and some good chicken italian sausage tonight. Did I mention wine.

I did not realize you are so urbane! Seriously, you have enough of everything, or you will when it grows. One mature rosemary plant goes a long way. Just don't ever, ever plant any mint. If you do, everyone on you street will have mint--it's invasive!
