Listening to the talking heads on FOX and their consensus is it will be a guilty verdict. Jury coming in with a verdict this quickly is almost never good news for defense. Question is what charges have they convicted him of.

No personal stake in the situation but as far as I'm concerned if that's what management is/was training their officers to do to people then I would judge him not to be personally at fault. Whoever instituted that policy/procedure is the bad guy here. Find out who that was and stick their ass in prison.


As for destructive rioting and looters I think they had it right 100 years ago. Shoot on sight.

Will be overturned on appeal. Change of venue was truly warranted and the jury was not fully sequestered.

Add in the comments from political figures and the appeal will require a new trial.

You wanna talk about reform you fuking thugs.....how about you start by reforming the black community....stop resisting arrest....Every damn case where some thug was shot or killed would NEVER have happened if they didnt resist arrest. Bryan Stevenson just said essentially the same thing on CNN just now. Among the other things he does is educate young people in the black community on how to successfully navigate an encounter with the police.

In the interview I just saw Stevenson related an incident where he wasn't involved in any criminal activity - he simply parked his car in front of his apartment building and was approached by Atlanta police officers. He reacted calmly and was able to successfully navigate the encounter, but it occurred to him that, had that incident happened to him 10 years earlier, he might have run. This incident made him see the need for more education in the black community on how to interact with the police.

Absolutely.... Too bad the police are being portrayed as racist killers, I'm sure that won't make the situation worse at all.

I'm sure no one here ever fought with a cop and fell down the stairs on the way to the station... Just saying could have been avoided.
