Portdawg came over and gave me a hand putting on the weatherstripping. I buffed the car and put the tires back on. I will change the oil tommorow and back her out and finish up the panels Portie helped me sand.

No color consistencywas actually the easiest part believe it or not. Two coats of base and three mid and all blend great. Now primer was another story lol

Sad
I am sad to say life got in the way of finishing the vette and I have now taken time off from my second job to finish. I also completed a garage/wood shop swap and built a dedicated paint room in the side of the garage. Big enough to park a car in. I epoxied the floors etc etc. I am painting the walls in the spray room today and will be in production shortly. I will have my car back before the next vette season.
I will post all the pics of my the latter part of my adventures especially the one where the wife backed into the vette........... |

Nice looking shop, what's that mounted to the ceiling that looks like a smoke eater?

The thing hanging in the ceiling is a dust filtration unit. Basically a furnace fan in a box. I used that when the garage was the wood shop. Now i will use it for when I am spraying just in case I open the door and some things escape or when I am hanging out working on the car and jim passes gas.
