I've been on The Internet since before it was The Internet (it was CSNET/NSFNET back then) and I was on dial-up BBSes before that. The above standard advice for dealing with trolls has been around at least that long, and in all that time I have never once seen it actually work. You simply cannot get a large group of random people to ignore one particular individual in a disciplined, consistent manner - and even if you could, some n00b would come along and ruin it anyway.

If STS bothers you that much, put him on your Ignore list and move on with your life.

He doesn't bother me i just ignore him. He can come in all my threads which he does i just don't respond to him. I don't feed the troll. He can call me a loser which he does and i don't respond and that bothers him. Ignore list are for wimps. If you don't respond to him or go in his threads he'll leave he needs that attention. But people will respond and he will continue posting and doing threads. This is like explaining this to kids.

I respectfully disagree. I interacted/interact with Yadkin entirely differently than I do with STS. It's a total different dynamic as the two have ZERO in common.

I could have a good time having a cocktail and shooting the breeze with either one of them. Yadkin on common interests, and STS on past history since we came of age in the same area at the same time and had mutual friends.
