James Cameron's re-creation of the Titanic sinking
Super director, James Cameron, rendered this video of what EXACTLY happened to the Titanic for a National Geographic special.

Since Cameron has studied the Titanic sinking and its corresponding wreck more than anyone in history I am comfortable in what he is showing.
After spending 10s of millions of his own money diving on the wreck and working with some of the best people in the business using scale models, computer simulations and all the data gathered from the wreck he admits he got the sinking wrong in his movie. I also applaud him for not pulling a George Lucas and changing it. |

Is there any chance the front section landed on Leo? I'd really think that was cool.

Cool animation, but this Titanic thing is somewhat played out.

As a source of entertainment, I tend to agree. Scientifically, it's a whole other story. We're learning so much about the nature of depth, and the animals that live there, from trips to the Titanic.
It's is scary to think that you can now tourist dive to the wreck, if you've got the coin. They need to make it illegal to land upon it, subs have crushed parts of it. |

I think it's awesome Cameron came back to update everything and give his final word. In his words, "it's time to pass it along to someone else. "
I don't think it's overplayed...I love the historical side of it and it's been 100 years...they had to do something to bring it back. |
