Arrr....
I'm going to replace them in two years, so maybe just a temporary fix is all that I need.
I don't want to go all crazy, so I have this really good metal tape that I'll throw down first, and then I'll cover that with I&W shield.
Easy peasy, and a fast temporary fix until I replace them.
I thought that J-B weld would be sufficient to fill the paper thin crack and seal it, but the less prep and easier I can make this, the happier I'll be.

I've never used J-B Weld for anything. The stuff is crap.

I think it's worth taking the extra time to fix it properly...then you have to fix it only once.

I cleaned the gutters with my new leaf blower and they are spotless.
I have this really sticky silver/chrome tape which HVAC guys use to seal seams.
I covered the 3' long crack with that first and then covered that with ice& water shield.
Now I just wait for the rain to see how it works.
I'm sure it'll work, but for how long?
