Default Pictures of your very first Corvette.....???

The first Vette in the family that I found in a newspaper was this 1960 hardtop only car. I found it when I was 14 and my big brother was 17... so he bought it for 1800$

I had to wait until I turned 17 to have the money to buy my first, this 66 roadster for 2600$, a fortune in those days....

Got any pics and stories about your first CORVETTE???

Damn, I'd have to dig for that. My first one was new in 1992, I bought it when I was 24. Obviously no digital pictures from back then.

My first was in 1994.
1975 350 4-speed. I heard from a friend of a friend that it was sitting in a garage and needed a transmission. Woman was asking $2,000, ended up paying $1,700. As I was loading it, she told me she had the trans at her parent's place, it just needed to be installed. I bought a gasket set for the super T-10 and a battery and that was it. Drove it for years.

I had to keep that black bra on, the paint was totally faded a different color.

I don't have a way of scanning old pics, but my first was a '57 that I bought in the early 70's for $1500. Sounds cheap, but I was making $2.25 an hour then and just out of high school. I only kept it a few years.

Pretty sure it was stock. Once I got it running, I immediately took it to New England Dragway where it laid down blistering 15.30's with its super duper 165hp L48.

My first vette was in '66, it was a '60 bought for 1000 bux, convertible....lost it in a wreck little over a year later....after taking the tire well full of sand outta the back, it held the tail down, and that old saying about them being tail ass light in the rear was proven true.....wish I had fixed it, but about 50 years too late for that now.....

next vette was a '87 in '92, sold it 3 years later because the seats and some other design details were just too much to deal with, bought my '72 a few months later.....since '95 I have resurrected this vette about 4X from wrecks that were NOT MY FAULT!!!!

actually made money off two of them.....

The 77 in my avatar is my only Vette to date. Paid $450 for it about 7 years ago now. It looked nothing like the red beauty shown when it first got here. There's a build thread "over there".
