Opened the door to let da Bear out and a good gust of wind was blowing pollen, looks like fog it's so windy. Probably not a good sign to start the day.
Overdid it yesterday and hands are starting.
Probably find something inside to do.

So anyway, I got this nice, shiny, chrome master cylinder a few days ago,
"guaranteed to fit" your 1976 Corvette.
Nice enough to work in the garage (50 degrees).
I bench bled it. Took the new-old steel MC off.
Measured the throat of the New MC.
then measured the push rod distance.
CRAP, push rod is 1.312" too long for new MC
Only 3/8" adjustment in the push rod either direction.

Returned to seller with a nasty note "It does not fit MY 1976 Corvette!"
Explained the difference in throat depths (.5" on chrome unit, versus 1.812"
on standard OEM unit). I believe this chrome unit is meant for a Bendix type booster. I don't have a Bendix type booster.

Ordered a new, shiny, chrome, replacement Master cylinder and Booster
from Zip Corvette. Same physical size as OEM. Will be here next week sometime.

I'm gonna order up a few of those band aides. Getting the old booster out
will not be fun (I can only see 3 of the 4 mounting bolts inside by the pedals,
and the 3 visible bolts are damn near impossible to get at) Probably will need
to take the seat and console out to get at it
Sorry @C3C7NIC I'd like to help you out with your '68, but I'm just not
limber enough anymore for these gymnastics.

You might want to check with C3C7NIC and see if she can special order some of those bandaids. I have Bluey and Toy Story bandaids.
