Too late, Nancy already made her big bucks off of Tesla options trading...

It certainly would be nice to have trucks, and cars for the most part, affordabley priced and reliable once again.

Yeah I’m fairly sure I’m buying a Tesla in the next 30 days.

Test drove a new Model S and it was awesome. Whole family loved it.

Who knew conservatives would embrace Tesla and the tree hugging left would start burning them down.

We live in interesting times…

I would buy a Telsa because it would only cost me $4 to fully charge it up.

@slewfoot told me so

I’ve had a PHEV for the last 3 years. Cost me less than a dollar a day for my 25-30mile commute.

Probably closer to $10-12 for a full charge at home in FL.

To really make a informed judgement, we'd need to know the price difference, if any, between an equivalent ICE vehicle when purchased, and also the price difference when sold, in other words, what's the residual value of the similarly situated EV and ICE cars?

I pay 59 cents per KWH for electricity. EV's don't make sense. Plus, compared to my 60 year old GTO's and other cars, they are much more environmentally impactful and harmful.

I'll keep driving my large, cam-in-block V8's and keep my carbon footprint at zero.

I only buy used cars. So my upfront cost isn’t extreme and resale not heavily marred by depreciation.

My Explorer Sport that at my peak driving was costing over $500/month in gas. I bought my PHEV for 25k and my payment was less than 450/month.

Yeah that electricity rate is crazy. My blended rate is somewhere are .12-15/kwh.

For me being green or carbon footprint is absolutely the last consideration.

It’s all about saving my wallet. The monster torque that the car puts out doesn’t hurt either. Very fun to drive.

I am in favor of this. The government was way ahead of its mind in terms of what it takes to go all electric with vehicles.
1. We do not have the power available in the power grid to supply this.
2. We still do not have enough charging stations across the country and especially in rural areas to support this Feasibly.
3. No, Good, source for disposing of these toxic batteries when they’re done.
4. This created an ungodly over the top top expensive engineering for the auto industry to try and comply, which of course has passed on to the consumer not only just for electric cars, but regular ICE vehicles. This is cost the American consumer, an ungodly amount of money for no reason. Or should I say caused by our government that of course is always jumping into something before they analyze the long-term effects and cost. That’s the problem with a government that has no vested interest in what things cost for business owners/manufacturers.
This is an oil driven country and you can’t change that overnight.

Do your cars run on unleaded gasoline? How much do you pay per gallon? How many miles per gallon does a GTO get?

Yes he is, and I don't care what he drives.

But when he makes blanket statements like "EVs don't make sense" he's gonna get called on it.

And I don't believe for one microsecond that he drives old cars because of their environmental impact and "zero carbon footprint."

I still honestly don't understand the emotional response to the source of energy of a car.

If an EV came out that was the best at doing what I needed it to do, I'd but an EV. If a gasoline vehicle was the best, I'd buy gas. If diesel was best, I'd buy diesel.

Currently the best answers are diesel for the truck with my towing needs and gas for the family truckster with the distances that it needs to regularly go.

If an EV was better, I'd buy one.
