Default Ford people, need some help

2005 CV. Headlights do not come on. They will work when the lever is pulled for flash to pass. No low or high beams working. Fuse is good.

Does it have the auto-off rotary timer?

flash to pass should kick the high beams and possibly low at the same time, so relays, bulbs and fuse sounds good. Switch maybe? Does it have auto head lights?

No auto headlights. Was thinking switch. Not sure how to check it.

Would have to ohm it out and a schematic would help, junk yard possibly and swap it out?

Its a round dial that controls the delay of the auto shut-off of the headlights. If it has this option, it will be located on the dash far left side. It looks like the dial from an old microwave.

Turn headlight switch to ON position with car off and open the door, does the reminder come on?

Let me know.

It's all about the process of elimination.

Common issue on those cars when they went away from the older style automatic/delay shutoff switch (the rotary dial).

I don't think it made the dinging last night. We will check this morning.

Hooked up new headlight switch. Not it. Non-returnable too. Heading to junk yard for dimmer switch. I unhooked the old plug and the parking lights came on. Also started dinging. Now it dings with the old switch.

Sell the new piece you bought on Ebay so you can at least get some of your money back..

Speaking of that, anybody need a new fan control module for a 2005 C6?

Different dimmer switch didn't work either. I'm at a loss. Neighbor mentioned a Lighting control module, but also said it's expensive. That part is supposedly for strobe lights, which I do not have.

Run wires from the battery through a toggle switch to the lights. Easy. I'm still working on the dimmer issue.

Directions? Hook up to battery last? Unhook battery before starting?

I mentioned that you needed to ohm it out and have a schematic before buying anything.

Does the LCM have anything to do with flash to pass?

Not sure where you got the switch but if your nice and did not destroy the box they might take it back.

Junkyard again? should be easy to find parts.

Bet there is a relay or the likes in the LCM that needs replacing.

Or hard wire the headlights temporarily.
