Holy shit he yard darted right into the crowd. Just got off the phone with my friend and she is not there yet but she says the unlimited class has fatalities every year. She hates them because they are so unsafe.

Loooks like the plane lost yaw or elevator control and the torque of the engine pile drived it into the ground. At that speed in such a small and powerful airplane, you don't recover under the best circumstances.

There were people standing around the grandstand in the area it hit. I hope to god the body count is not what was reported.
