They should have kicked that fat **** in the nuts while he was down on the ground to keep him from getting up again. Of course, being Vermont, the police will probably arrest the good citizens who stepped in to actually stop a crime in progress.

If HD isn't going to GAF, I certainly am not going to find out if that asshole is willing to shoot/stab someone over the shit he is walking out with. One of my employees came to me from HD security. Couldn't stay there with the permissive attitude from corporate over loss.

And the thing is, the perp could have pressed assault charges on the guys who stopped him. Situation could have easily escalated if he was carrying a weapon. I wish HD and other stores cared more about this but I guess it's their "cost of doing business" knowing that 98% of people pay for what they take off the shelf.

There's no reason for the store to care. They simply write-off these losses and then raise prices to compensate for the losses. Rinse - repeat.
